Book descriptionEdit

"17th September, 1745
Highlanders shoved a path thro' the crowd all grinning and cheerful. Pipers followed them, playing "The King shall enjoy his own again" and then came Prince Charles riding a white horse. He's incredible handsome. Wore a white wig, a tartan coat with gold braid and lace at the neck and cuffs, and a blue sash over his shoulder. The crowd were cheering, laughing, weeping and shouting, "Good luck to the Prince! God bless ye, sire!" Then came streams more Highlanders, bristling with weapons–scabbardless swords, pistols and muskets, pitchforks, even cudgels. Most exciting day of my life–so far!
