Ellen Emerson White is a children's and young adult fiction writer. She is well known for her The President's Daughter series. White is the author of two Dear America books, one in The Royal Diaries, and one in My Name Is America.


Ellen Emerson White grew up in Narragansett, Rhode Island. She published her first book Friends for Life in 1983, while attending Tufts University. White currently resides in New York City, New York.
