Below is a set of rules that are set and expected to be followed as long as you participate in editing Dear America Wiki. These guidelines apply to adding images, making pages, editing the Wiki and everything in between. These policies are subject to fine-tuning in order to make them as fair and clear as possible. General policies[]

  • Respect others: all users, regardless of status, are required to show respect to others at all times. No slander, harassment or insults will be tolerated at any time.
  • No cursing: as this wiki centers around a children's book series, use of curse words or foul language are prohibited.
  • No vandalism: forms of vandalism range from deleting a portion of the page without proper reason to adding gibberish or foul language. If someone becomes a vandal, the administrators have the right to block the person for an indefinite amount of time depending on the severity of the act.
  • Be a productive member of the wiki: contribute to the wiki in line with the established processes and conventions. Need help? Ask an administrator! Disrupting the wiki with "edit warring" over differing opinions of a topic with another user or group of users is not productive.
  • Banning: a user may be banned for violating any of the wiki's policies. However, except in cases of vandalism, a user will receive a warning first. If said user continues to violate the policies, you will be banned for two weeks or longer depending on the severity of the violation.
  • Commenting: comments are to be utilized to discuss the subject and changes to the article. Any inappropriate or spam comments are not allowed on this wiki.
